Roadmap Or Hike To a Painting™

The Grand Canyon has been a great source of inspiration.  I have painted from Car Locations, as well as from Hikes into and around the Canyon Rim.  Most of my visits and paintings have been done from the South Rim.  This painting is one of a series that I have done to remember when my Sister and I hiked the Bright Angel trail into the canyon in 1976. The story is recounted in much more detail in the Roadmap post for the painting "Kathy Gazes Back On Bright Angel.  This painting captures that late afternoon light in the Canyon, as the shadows draw deeper into the deepest reaches of this incredible place.
